Anybody in STEP 4-Committee Review

I logged in my account and it showed that my application is in STEP 4 Committee Review.
Plus, I am a RD applicant.
Anybody could tell me if the decision will come out soon or during late March? Via mail or email?
Great thanks in advance

All RD admissions decisions will be mailed via the USPS and will arrive on or before April 1.

If you are foreign applicant, your admission decision will arrive via FedEx on or before April 1.

Your account will continue to show Step 4 until all decisions have been finalized and you will only see a change of status once your decision has been mailed.

Is it possible that the decision letter will arrive at the beginning of March?

I’m in step 4 also.

No.

(Unless you are one of ~70 students who will be invited to interview for the Renaissance Scholarship.)

some people got accepted feb-early march idk if they are reinaisance scholarship tho

You can expect your letter to arrive the first or second week of March if you live on the west coast.

Yes, most letters will be sent mid-march. Though the date may change slightly, we are hoping the bulk of the letters will go out on March 14th. Some of our CAP applicants and Renaissance finalists will hear from us sooner.

OMG! I am still in Step 2. I will take it as a bad signal and start talking to my safety schools now :(

mixter… No worries! There are still a lot of students in step 1, many of whom are admissible. The step at which your application currently sits is a reflection of nothing more than the length of time it takes us to get through well over 13,000 applications. It has no bearing on the decision that you recieve.

MConklin

Had an interview about 3-4 weeks back but the interview checkbox is not checked, do I have to do anything?

Also, what is the timeframe for Renaissance Scholarship letters?

Renaissance Scholarship interview invitations will arrive around March 1 (Feb 25-March 3) in order to allow candidates time to make travel arrangements.

In the past Ren interviews were held on campus shortly after Spring Break ends. (This year classes resume March 14 so I would guess Ren interviews would probably be at the end of that week.)

What does it mean to be a CAP applicant and what are the criteria for the Renaissance Scholarship?

A CAP applicant is one in one of the Combined Admissions Programs (REMS, GEAR, etc.)

The criteria for the Renaissance Scholarship are fluid.

itsjai… Was your interview over the phone? Most interviews offered after January 1 are offered over the phone. If that is the case, it is likely that the interview notes were taken directly in your file rather than completed on a separate form and submitted. As always, I’d still recommend that you call to confirm that some record of your interview exists.

Also… Renaissance finalists should recieve a letter relatively soon. Though I can’t make any promises, I believe the intent is to have the letters mailed on February 22nd. The same is true of most of our CAP applications.

I actually received a small card inviting me to the GEAR finalist interviewing event. Did that section just get completed earlier than Feb. 22 or is there an official letter coming out later?

Hello. I have been invited as a REBS finalist for the interviewing event.
I’m just curious, how many people get invited and of the selected, how many are admitted to the program? If you are considered as a finalist, does it mean you have already been admitted to the school? Thanks in advance!

My daughter graduated in 2010. Her acceptance letter arrived around March 15th or so. Her friend, a legacy who chose not to attend received her acceptance letter a full week before. The acceptances and I suppose declines and waitlists were mailed that year in waves but every year is different.
