I go to Golden West. If you want to learn, take Professor Cosand or Higbee. If you want to have fun assignments (and learn nothing) take Tarango. If you want a professor who looks like an Abercrombie model, take Tayyar. I wouldn't take English at Coastline. There are only a few teachers to choose from and I haven't heard anything great about them.

Orange Coast College (OCC) in Costa Mesa is the best if you want to transfer.

thanks tifania

have you heard anything about Professor BARUA?

I'm going to take ENGL110 (this is the second english course right?) - critical thinking LIT.

I only see two professors for the May 31st through end of June sections.. one is taught by Tarango and the other by Barua.

I heard Barua is a decent professor. Not amazing, but not bad either.
Tarango's a really popular professor because he gives such fun assignments, but I didn't learn anything in his class. If this will be your last English class, you should take it with Tarango and have a little fun. If your major requires more English courses then I suggest you take Barua, because he actually teaches.
Hope that helps!

I would choose Golden West, because Coastline stinks ... mainly internet, web, and t.v. courses. But Orange Coast in Costa Mesa (where I currently go) is far better if you can stand to drive there.

U can take online classes at Santa Monica College. It doesn't show up on ur transcript that it's an online class i asked 3 counselors.

Got Eng 1,2
Pol Science 1,2, and 3
Music Appreciation
Econ 1,2
Philosophy

Damn thats like 20 units right there lol.
Never have to show up for class, ever.
Can fill out application online

Yea with gas prices as high as they are, online classes are looking better every day.

since i am finished with IGETC and my major courses...planning on transferring winter quarter, this summer and next semester I am planning on taking almost ALL online classes that are transferable to UC's. (I have 55 units now, but planning on transferring over, the max... 70.)

well, hope u have a transfer agreement w. SD or I. Or u're applying only to SB b/c thats the only way u're going do in the winter.

yes, i have a transfer agreement, thanks.
