Anybody making room on the waitlist?

<p>So, decisions are coming soon... anybody decide to give up their accepted spot at Princeton for those on the waitlist? [-O< </p>

<p>Of course people are declining Princeton’s offer. That’s why P accepts many more people than there are slots available. What you’re hoping for is that there will be many MORE people who initially decline at the May 1st deadline to open space up for WLers. But most schools try to guess at the exact number of matriculants to spots so as to not to have to rely on the WL. That is why everyone on any WL should be looking at their other choices only.</p>

<p>Ummmm…well, yes–of course. :-S You’d have to be fairly clueless not to know this–especially at this point in the college process. This was meant to be just a lighthearted way of chatting up the waitlist! </p>

<p>There is already a WaitList thread. Check it out and post upon it. One thread per topic can be useful. Multiple threads per topic are an unconsolidated mess. </p>
