Anybody not going to Grad Nite???

I'm not! Ours is only going to be at Disneyland..and the tickets are expensive!! They cost 88 dollars! That's way more than prom tickets! I don't really like Disneyland either, its kinda kiddish. For those of you that are not going, do you think you will regret it? Why you chose not to go?

people on cc seem to be under the impression that every other school in the country shares their schools’ traditions

but uhmm your “grad nite” sounds pretty cool
i’ve never been to disneyland
but apparently you’re close to there
considering that your “grad nite” is there
so it’s probably not as cool as it sounds to me

so yeah i’m sure you won’t regret it
just do something fun with friends

there is no subliminal message in this post

Yeah…Disneyland is about 2-2 1/2 hours from where I go to school at. Ahem…no, disneyland is definitely not cool, lol. I’ve been to it when I was little and its lame. I would rather go somewhere else instead like Six Flags or Universal Studios xD

i looove six flags
& universal studios (the FL one) was cool, too (:

& wow, that’s kinda far – do the tickets cover transportation?
if not, it definitely doesn’t sound worth it

No, the tickets do cover transportation…I guess thats not that expensive…haha. But, its only a school bus, though.

uhm, disneyland is totally cool. maybe not for grad nite, but disneyland is disneyland.
btw 6 flags was my 8th grade graduating trip

for us, the point of grad nite, is to keep us in a secure area until 5am the next morning so that we don’t get drunk or do anything stupid to kill ourselves bc they think we’re gonna go crazy partying now that we’ve graduated. not that we do normally, but really that’s the idea. you don’t have to go, but if you do you’re stuck there until 5am.

there’s been like 2-3 kids that have died at disneyland on grad nite bc they were drunk.

basically the parents spend a lot of time planning out a fun event in the school gym or something that usually includes arcade games (DDR etc.), food, rock climbing wall maybe, dance-floor, mock-casino gambling and prizes, and a hypnotist at 3am. it’s a nice way to spend the last few hours with your friends and peers that you may never see again. i think that came out to $50, same as prom. it’s the same idea as prom, actually, if you have someone fun to go with, then you’re gonna have a good time.

Our grad nite was supposed to be at Disneyland, but it was canceled because not enough seniors signed up. Eh, movie night ftw.

We just have a senior Picnic and i think go on a field trip to Santa Cruz beach board walk :?

My school’s grad nite is at Disneyland too O.o

you think $88 is expensive? that was almost the price of a prom ticket. Our school is making us pay $100 for gradnight. I heard only few rides are open for gradnight, but their will be dancing.

I think it’s going to be some huge BBQ. I seriously doubt I’ll go because eating outside disgusts me

Our grad night is a Universal Studio (3 hours away) but I decided to go because I didn’t go to prom. Akon is playing which I am NOT looking forward to.

I dunno, I am planning on getting kicked out when I have a cig sometime.

Our Grad Nite is $300 because we have to take a 6-hour bus ride down to Disneyland…

I’m going because I didn’t go to prom, which was $120.

No, because I’m not paying $85 to go to Disneyland on some crappy charter bus, only to sit around talking to Mickey Mouse under the influence of ecstasy when I know the security will be looking for any suspicious activity. Also, Tom Sawyer’s Island is closed on nights like that!

Besides, I have a season pass, so I can do all of that when I want at a discounted rate.

im going, not so much for the rides and mickey mouse but to be with my friends and a lottt of high school seniors. soo legit. and its only 60 bucks and 30 minutes away!

Mine is at Disneyland too. I have no intention of paying $75 to spend 6 hours on a bus and 6 hours at the lamest place on Earth, only to be dropped off back for school the next day without any sleep.

*** type of school expects you to be at school after grad nite?

hahahahaha im goin to grad night this thursday. Did you guys get that ******** pamphlet that said like STEP 3: Prepare to be patted down.

Usually it’s the night of the graduation. This year the organizer screwed up, so we have to have it early. Our ever-competent administrators, though, didn’t think it would be necessary to relax the school’s draconian attendance policies.
