It’s almost June 1 and I have yet to hear back from them whether or not I made the wait list for the fall term. When ever I call them they insist they can’t tell me and that I will receive a notification by mail or email on or before June first. Also, I chose the option to be guaranteed for spring admission if I didn’t make the wait list, if that helps. Has anybody else received their notifications yet? I need to know so that I can schedule for community college classes sooner rather than later.
Hello!
I was told earlier this week that we were in the process of sending wait list letters. You should hear back from us any time now.

Hi I’m and out of state student from Kentucky and I really want to attend Pitt because of its Emergency Medicine program, along with that I want to do a double major in Biology with the pre-med track. I’m worried that I won’t get into Pitt and if I do I’m not going to get any merit-based financial aid. Do you think you could take a look at my credentials and maybe give me an estimate? (My gpa would be higher but I was very unmotivated in my freshman year and didn’t get the grades I wanted)
3.6 GPA
31 on ACT
Extracurriculars:
Service Club
Science Olympiad
Classes:
5 IB classes
3 honors/ advanced classes
@katdeb, It’s hard for me to chance you - the Admissions Committee will have to take a look with the full information you provide in your application.
But, you can take a look at our class profile and our scholarship page for some general information about the students who were admitted to Pitt last year: https://oafa.pitt.edu/explore/class-profile/
And the students who were offered scholarships: https://oafa.pitt.edu/financialaid/academic-scholarships/university-scholarships/
