Anybody rejected and planning to transfer next year?

So Stanford's been my dream college for years and I applied EA, but got deferred and recently rejected. I'm planning on going to UPenn, which I know I shouldn't be disappointed at, since there's probably many people out there that would love to go there. But still, it crushed me to get rejected by a school that I had loved for so long. I even attended Stanford's summer college last year, which was one of the best experiences of my life. It just feels weird that I'll never experience that again.

Anyway, so for others who also got rejected: What college(s) have you decided on for next year, and are you going to try to transfer to Stanford? I'd also appreciate any input from people who have previously tried to transfer to Stanford.

oh i feel soooo bad for you that you have to go to UPenn

I'm crying :(

yeah I wonder if Stanford has any particular college preferences for transfers

i'm ending up at either upenn or cornell, and living my undergrad years there. stanford's in my sights for graduate school.

how difficult is it to transfer from cornell to stanford?

or from Harvard to Stanford? Is it easier to transfer to Stanford if you initially got in?

I was rejected from Stanford for college, went to UIUC for EE (in-state), and now attend Stanford for grad school.

mrman- thats my plan for now, prolly going to brown
