I’m scared… I took 16-19 units each semester and will definitely tone it down after I transfer. I think upper division biology and chemistry courses will be fun, but will take a lot more out of me than CCC courses.

Wow I suck…I’m in my second semester and I feel like cc was the hardest I’ve had to work academically. But then I graduated high school with a 2.1 gpa. How did you guys do in your Writing 1/2 classes? I think those are the most difficult classes for me. (I’m in a low level math class)

For me… I’m a little nervous, but not especially so. I’ve tried to challenge myself at the CC, and have taken a heavy course load every semester (20-23 units), but some classes were definitely easier than one might expect.

i’m nervous for a different reason… i think i’ll rock academically but I’m worried about finding a job and affording school :(

I’ve had two classes at my ccc that were easier than any high school class- Math for the Humanities, and Classical music Appreciation.

The math class didn’t require homework collect hw and it was so easy i never did it. I didn’t even ever study and I got 105% on every single test except the final which i got 99% (didn’t have extra credit).

Classical Music was actually one of my favorite classes, because we had an amazing concert pianist teach the class (he’s not teaching right now because he is on a 89 concert tour around the US) Only grades came from identifying different pieces that were played out loud. But the class before each test, he told us exactly what was on the test, and there were only about 10 songs each test.

I’m not too worried. I’ve never been in a class that i felt i couldn’t get a good grade in if I tried, and I care so much about philosophy, that I’ll probably be one of those try-hards that does the recommended reading as well as the mandatory reading and go in to office hours all the time.

I’m switching from a Political Science Major to a Classics Major
I’m worried about everyone being so far ahead in that major, especially since there’s a Latin and/or Greek language requirement which I won’t be able to start till Fall 2010 Womp Womp Womp :(
