I just took the SATs on May 5, 2007 and I'm in 7th grade. I got a 1570. What did everyone else who isn't in high school get?

lol 1000 something. i didn't study back then

was that before or after they added the essay part?

Thats incredible for a 7th Grader, you should be proud of yourself because many high schoolers get that score since its dubbed "average". You have 4 years to add 830 points to your score! You can definitely reach 2400 by your junior year DONT YOU WORRY!

1570/2400 or 1600?

I got 1250/1600 (it was before writing). I would have liked to do better, but meh.

If yours was out of 2400, what did you get on just Math and CR?

oh horse lol haha i thought u said you got that out of 1600, i was like whoa.

mine was out of 1600.

I took a random, timed practice test when I was in 8th grade, and scored a 1770. Seriously, don't worry. You have plenty of time to acquire the necessary knowledge to get a higher score, and, for your age, you should be extremely proud with what you god.

I took the SAT's back in 8th grade (which was four years ago..), I got around a 1200/1600.. I went up a lot since then (300ish points)

One thing I remembered was that my math score was beastly higher than my verbal score, lol...

i just took mine... this jan (2007)
ugh!
math score: 500 average (i realllllly could have done better- while practicing i had got like a 710 or something)
cr: 490 (bleh..) below average .. haha
writing: 560 (above average)

oh my gawd. it's been... what, 6 years since I took the SAT for the first time ever? As a wee 6th grader? my, how time flies.

so that must've been 2001. January of 2001. wow.
but anyway, my score:
Math: 650
Verbal: 630

oh analogies. how i do not miss you so.

on second thought, why are you on CC?

Wooo! Bsktbll! There isn't anyway of knowing that he will be able to get a 2400 as a junior. He was only at like 85th percentile for each section (for those who took the test) and while those who took the test are gifted, the vast majority of even 99th percentile scorers will not get 2400 in the future! Slow down...

uhh... are u talking to me? apathy and stix2400?

well i think stix2400 was talking about the OP, horseluvr4life, and so was I, but now I realize that it applies to you too, snoachowdhary. 7th grade and on CC is really very astounding.

i got 1310 as a 7th grader... pre-writing... one of my really good friends got a 1550 as a 7th grader (he got a 2400 this year, no surprise).

but your score is great. :)

Um, I was actually talking to bsktbll54321 (hence "Wooo! Bsktbll!" at the begining of the post) because he assumed that horseluvr will get a 2400, which is not at all true, though it is possible.

hmm..on the old one i got
1050/1600 - 7th grade
1200/1600 - 8th grade

There are two previous CC threads about this, at least:
