I'm in those classes right now, but I'm not sure how hard the midterms/finals are. Anybody taken these classes before?

His lectures are pretty structured Woods. He provides study guides or a list of essay topics you need to know about 1.5 weeks in advance of the final. His lectures usually had themes when I had him for SEASIAN ST 1... and well, they were the exam questions. He also gave us a list of IDs to memorize. My friend took History 9E and it was essentially the same thing.

History 9e was nice. TA sucked though. Stay away from jason -_-

Nice as in....easy?

Basically, I have three other classes that need more attention than 9E, and I don't know how much time I should put into that class...

noonan is REALLY REALLY easy

REALLY easy

mm...well. put it this way. the reading blows. tests weren't too bad. it was the paper that killed. tests --> manageable if you answer the study questions beforehand and have a list you can just look at and memorize

That paper though can seriously screw your grade over if your TA sucked like mine. Talking to the professor about it helps. He's uber nice and friendly. =D

The reading was alright! What, Javanese and power or something like that? Long-winded articles on what Southeast Asia means? (Mostly irrelevant to essay questions in the end...) Child trafficking/sex slavery? Concepts of power and ideas about dictators and communism in the region? Differences among the nations and then, the differention of cultures and groups of persons in the Philippines? Islam in Indonesia? And finally, 75% of the readings (and lectures) on the Philippines?! ASUANG! Family dynamics and the role of women in households?!

LOL asuang....such a gruesome story...

mme: do you know remember the format of his midterm/final and if it was easy or not?

the reading itself was all right, the amount of it was x_x
