<p>Um, yea. You could still excercise critical thinking skills over the argument. Sure that element of ferocity and rage would be non existent from a fiery debate, but words, whether they are on a computer screen or spoken, themselves have power.</p>

<p>What i want to do is start with SPar debates, ones which have random topics but are easily debatable. These will help one to think well on their feet. Then i will progress to LD debates, public forum, policy debates. Topics can be found ALL OVER THE INTERNET. And instead of doing PM messages, using AIM will make the debate go at a faster pace, without the annoyance of trashing filled PM boxes.</p>
<p>Well, I don’t have time to do it that regularly. Public Forum and Policy need partners for the actual format, and I don’t want to do internet Policy. I am not willing to give it that much research. I’ll do SpAr or LD every once in a while, or even a PF topic. Also, I would prefer PMs. I don’t use AIM, and the “instant” bit makes writing out the “speech” boring for the other person (plus, then we’d have to sync up time).</p>
<p>I’m always good to argue. I took the debate class at my high school but didn’t like it. That form is too structured for me, and put more emphasis on data collection than rhetoric.</p>

<p>Sandwichgirl–you can’t debate that. It’s been confirmed by OBAMA himself that he’s not muslim. However, in one youtube video of BARACK’s talks, Barack does admit that he has muslim roots. But of course, that doesn’t make him a muslim, which implies he has 100% muslim roots. He does not. He’s a christian.</p>
