I'm on Michigan's waitlist and I've written a letter about my interest in the school. I've already sent a few letters to the admissions office about new update sto my application, so I thought I should send this letter as well. I know that it's extremely late to be sending anything, but my regional rep. assured me that there's still time to get things to her before they start looking at waitlist candidates.

Anyone willing to read my letter? I'm waitlisted for the College of Engineering, so I would really like to have engineering students read it.

I would caution against being overly optimistic about the waitlist. U-M has taken virtually nobody off the waitlist in recent years. You would probably be better off focusing your energy on the school that has taken interest in you and where you in all likelihood will be going in the fall

I agree with res ipsa. The truth hurts. Despite the letters and phone calls, I am sorry to tell you that you will not get accepted. I was in the same position as you and I regret staying so focused on bettering my chances of getting accepted after being deferred and waitlisted. As I look back, I wish I had just moved on. I admire you keeping hope Senbonzakura, but there is just so little that can be done at this point and it is far too stressful to keep at it.

Keep trying because you never know My daughter is waitlisted as well she got into some other top notch schools and went with her favorite (although if UMICH called tomorrow she would go) but at least she gave herself the opportunity for fall in love with another school
You should do the same
