We got the “your application is complete” email yesterday, but no change in status yet. I guess it could be any day, or it could be months from now. Since nearly all of DS’s applications are in, and slowly becoming complete, we are in wait mode, which means logging in to the 2 or 3 schools that could potentially act this month. If any of them track interest by looking at how many times we log in to the trackers, we are in luck. Or they will think we’re nuts.
Mines hasn’t changed either- I’m visiting in a week so I hope they change it soon!
No change here for DS, either.
I actually got admitted today.The status box said this:
“Congratulations! We are very pleased to notify you that you have been selected for admission to the University of Minnesota College of Biological Sciences. Admission to the University and our freshman-admitting colleges is determined by a holistic review of each individual student’s application materials, including the student’s college(s) of interest. We consider students for admission to their college(s) of interest, in the order students have indicated, and take into account in our admission review a student’s interests and academic preparation. Please note that your official admission packet is on its way to you in the mail. To confirm your enrollment now, click here. We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Minnesota community.”

Anyone know when they give info about merit scholarships or is it all after the new year along with FAFSA?

Wow, congratulations! Can I ask how you did your application? As in, did you write a lot about your interests and talents and whatnot where it was optional? I’m doing that now, but I’m trying not to make it sound too fake or like I’m just adding stuff to seem like I do a lot, rather than adding stuff that really shows who I am as a person… You know.
I’m from Indiana as well, so I have no idea if location factors into acceptance chances or not. I’m kind of a rookie when it comes to all this stuff.
I was just admitted yesterday actually! For those looking for a reference here are a few stats:
Applied for College of Design
3.42 GPA weighted
26 ACT
AP art, AP Lit, AP gov
A few honors courses here and there
200 hours of volunteering
I turned in everything for my application on 10/08, and yesterday my status changed to admitted.
I also gave them a letter of recommendation and I don’t know if it helped or not, but I think it didn’t hurt to turn in as well.
I was just admitted today for CLA! I’m doing happy dance right now lol
