anyone accepted at RIT? anyone planning on going?

anyone going there next year for sure? I got in and im deciding between RIT and another school right now. if your going what made you decided to go and if your not why not?

thanks.

I'm definitely going, I've put in my deposit and housing forms back in January. I decided to go to RIT because of a lot of factors, one of the most unique to the school being its co-op program. Because I am going to be majoring in mechanical engineering, having on-the-job experience should be a great way to get an idea of what a job as an engineer can be like. I know for some co-ops are required, for others it's optional. Besides that, the college has a lot going on around it, I enjoy the city of Rochester and surrounding area, and plenty other reasons. Which program were you accepted into?

Thanks for posting! I was accepted into the Computer Science program. The co-op was also something that really interested me about RIT. I've made my decision, and I will be attending RIT this fall! I just finished filling out the housing forums, hopefully I'm not that late in turning them in so I get some priority. Do most people submit them as early as January?

i think i'll be attending. i just got back from the Open House today.

To those who attended the open house, can you tell me a little about the campus vibe? We will be interested in looking at RIT for rising junior as a possibility for graphic design and more.

My daughter attends RIT - she is in the Physician Assistant Program. They run this program over the summer for HS JUniors called College & Careers. It is run twice per summer. The kids spend the night and try out all of these "mini-courses" that they are interested in. They get info about many different programs (through the courses). We were never considering RIT until we went to this program. It was well worth the money and was very informative both to my daughter and me!

I've been accepted and will be attending in the fall. :) I got accepted into the ASL-English Interpretation program.

Son is finishing Jr. year in HS. Considering RIT. Interests are either engineering or Computer Science.
KRAILOL- do you know the differences between the different Comp Sci majors in general. I really don't think he wants to come out as the "IT" man for a firm. He is incredibly computer literate and his skills have always been incredible as well as his understanding. Any suggestions, or recommendations for other schools is welcome too. (Just not MIT, etc as he won't get in to the top schools.)
How is merit $ at RIT.
Have to recheck the website, but was RIT the program with frequent internships and students coming and going all the time? I can see that a techie school will help with obtaining a job.
Engineering info is useful to if anyone has any to share.

CONGRATS to all of you who will attend.
