Just curious if anyone here got in early without doing the two JHU essays. I didn't do them (thought they were really optional until I visited this forum ... lol).

I submitted all my apps last week and thought I was finished with all this college app essay writing ... sigh

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but weren't those required? And if you didn't finish, I think you can still submit the supplement (up to two weeks after you submit part I).

dude, in case u havent gotten the hint from everyone who got in early and laxfan.......DO THE TEN DOLLAR ESSAY.
unless ur the no.1 lacross player in the country with a 2400 sat, do the essay
(slightly exaggerating....but like seriously, do the essay)

no, neither are required, tho both strongly recommended, esp the ten dollar one.
if ur here and u havent done the essays yet, go to the essays and stop reading cc!! :)

urrr.. okay. if your doing common app, common app essay is required..
and two supplemental JHU essays-$10, influencial class-are optional (STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to do it though..)

Yes, I did the common app online. I guess I'll mail in a $10 essay in the next few days. Thanks for the feedback guys! btw, why can't they just say it's "required"? on the supplement, it just says "the Admissions Committee welcomes the chance to read additional essays on the following two topics." lol
