What were your stats like? Do you know how hard it is to be accepted?

My daughter just received her acceptance today to ND Architecture summer program! She is so excited! :)

efeens- I hope you get accepted too! When will you find out?

I am also looking to apply to the leadership seminar… It seems highly selective, and I am extremely nervous! Has anyone been accepted to the leadership seminar specifically that is willing to share their statistics?

I would like to know the stats of those who previously attended too! I’m really nervous about the whole thing and I can’t seem to find much information about it.

Has anybody heard back for this summer’s programs?

There are a few threads about this under the Summer Programs (pre college area). Seems like most have not heard back yet but are expecting decisions to be mailed 4/15.

They supposedly sent decisions out today! I am wondering what day we can expect to receive admissions information?

I was rejected!!! Nooooooooooooo lol

I got mine and i was rejected nooooooooo

I knew it was somewhat of a long shot for me. My act was a 27 (now its a 28, though not much better.)

Im not super upset; it’s just I wanted to do something amazing this summer; the leadership seminar was going to be that amazingness. I guess I’m off to my community college.

I had GREAT recs though. And awesome ECs. This rejection will probably reflect the rejection letter I’ll get 9months from now.

The letter was the usual: “you were one of many exceptional applicants” BS. They did not that applications increased by 70% from last year. Probably because of there success in football.

Did you get yours in the mail?

ah damn. got mine in the mail. rejected. i was a little surprised, but i can’t blame them. my essays were pretty awful. oh well. congrats to those who do get accepted!

Rejected… Now that I am though I am not necessarily that upset… Rather, I am worried about next year! I had a 3,96 UW GPA, 34 ACT, multiple successful ECs, 650 plus hours of community service, multiple jobs, essays that my teachers and I found to be above average at the worst… I am just worried that this rejection is a sign of things to come when applying to the actual university… I mean how much more can I do? Do i raise my ACT score 2 points? then what? Its just a feeling of like how much more can I actually do in order to raise my chances by November 1st?

don’t sweat it. I’m pretty sure we were all competing for 40 spots (40 for each seminar, 120 total) for our first choice seminar, and the website even said that ethnic and cultural diversity was the number one goal. I’m white and from Ohio; I couldn’t be any worse of an applicant in that regard.

I did not let this rejection get me down because I’m still convinced I’ll be accepted in the fall.
