Anyone accepted into UCLA/UCSD?

<p>Did anyone get accepted into UCLA and/or UCSD?</p>

<p>Those two are my dream schools (I'm a junior), and I just want to know what your GPAs and test scores are. I understand that sometimes the acceptance choices are completely weird, but I just want an idea.</p>

<p>My current (simplified) transcript looks like this:</p>

<li>unweighted GPA = 3.7</li>
<li>weighted GPA = 4.1</li>
<li>SAT Reasoning = 2100</li>
<li>highest SATII = 790 (but this is Chinese)</li>
<li>lots of AP/Hs - APUSH, Chinese, BIO, AM lit H, AP Stats/gov/econ next year</li>
<li>piano level 10</li>
<li>chinese writing competition 1st place</li>
<li>swimming, tennis, volunteering etc</li>
</ul>

<p>What do you think? Now that you're done with that process, are there any things you would want to share with me?</p>

<p>One more question: How important are personal statements? and the UC's usually don't change them every year right? (But I know they changed it for 2008)</p>

<p>I'm also doing FBLA. I didn't go on to States this year because I didn't really study, but I still placed 9th for Bay Comps. I'm sure next year I'll get into States.</p>
