Hey Lovely Seniors,

Just wanted to know if anyone here was accepted with SAT scores that were not the absolute best, but the remainder of your application compensated for that blip (like high gpa, extracurriculars, ect...)

Could you post your stats? I sorta wanna know if I have any hope, even though I'll be finding out soon lol.

Thanks :) Good luck to everyone

I was accepted with a 2070 (710 Reading 700 Math 660 Writing)

Well, your proposition has to be the case given the average is lower than the stellar. It might be more helpful to ask what their ECs etc were because you know there are many of stats below stellar. Just a thought.

Yes, I had a 1790, but my ACT was in the 95th percentile.

accepted with 2070 (CR & W significantly higher than M). subject tests were all 730+. Pomona definitely looks for more than a number; they admit interesting people, I think.

It definitely seems like SAT is only used a measure of academic qualification for Pomona’s rigor, so not a deal breaker. My SAT was also lower than the average numbers, but by not a lot. Pomona definitely goes beyond the numbers with their applicants; they care more about the overall package.
