I got in ( a long time ago even though i applied 3 hours late...long story)
3.0 (cal state gpa) SAT:1800

and i hate how the cal state system doesn't care about your EC's or even your personality

Anyone in for mechanical engineering? (Could you post your stats please?) Thanks.

Are these GPAs weighted or unweighted?

well i got in SDSU.. so guess i wont be going to cal poly..
but i'll always remember cal poly as the first school to accept me.. made me so happy heh

yea first to accept me.
it was fun.
3.35/1790
wont b going though.

im a junior in hs right now
3.00 and a 1580 on the sat
will i get in? :( worried as %!@&
i tihnk im going to retake the sat.

Take a SAT prep class and retake it.

You'd have a small chance of getting in. Raise your GPA to 3.2~ and your SAT to 1750~ range, and you should make it in fairly easily.

uumm i had the same stats as u mickey and i got into like 5 cal states as well as a couple ucs...im going to UCI but what helped me out is that i will be running xc/track for them next year.

dont sweat ur in cal poly no doubt

alright well im going to retake the sats, hopefully get around 1650 or 1700 at least. im also going to be doing wrstling for 4 years and im wondering if my japanese AP class and the AP japanese test is going to help,

i thought cal poly pomona didn't have a wrestling team!

Do you have to live in their designated area to get in? Tier 1 high schools? The policy on their website looks very strict if you don't live near the school.

I heard if you have a good GPA and high SATs you can get in. It's easier to get into than CPSLO.

yes it is easier to get into the pomona branch of cal poly compared to the other campus. but particularly for students within its service area. that means students from academically weak pomona high schools are admitted over students with better records from great high schools in the bay area. each CSU has a service area. it may not seem fair but that's the way the system works.

was accepted today!
3.2 UC/CSU GPA
23 act

dont think im going though
