Anyone Accepted?

Got a call last night, letting me know that I've been accepted to the class of 2007. Anyone else heard?

Deep Springs sounds like the most unique experience any college could offer. I know that you will grow immensely there.
What did you write your essays on?
I must go to the dermatologist now, as my skin has an odd green tinge.

Gz alex!
I got in too! neat surprise since I wasnt expecting anything until at least the 15th of April. Wasnt that what the application pack said?

Wow, congratulations guys. That's really amazing.

Congrats! I guess slaving over the essays actually paid off in your cases.

Argh decisions decisions...

Got accepted at a couple of ivies and its suddenly very tough. I still really want to go to Deep Springs but my parents are really keen on the famous schools...

They want me to go to Stanford if i get accepted - cant believe a small part of me is actually dreading an acceptance (good thing that its so unlikely)

Anyone else in this situation?

well i got into DS and was spurned by Harvard, Yale and Stanford.

So i suppose i am in the exact opposite situation...

Just to add something for people deciding whether or not to attend - my teacher, who's in his sixties and has had an incredible life, says going to Deep Springs was one of the most amazing experiences he's ever had.

What are the average stats of an accepted student? How many kids are in their freshman year? How many apply vs. how many are accepted? There are so many who don't know about this school, I just found out and find it to be quite fascinating. Thanks.

Generally about 150-175 students apply each year for 11-15 spaces in each class. The Average SAT score is around 1500 and the average GPA is around a 3.9. These aren't exact statistics- the essays are far more heavily weighted in the admissions process. Check out their website and/or email them for a copy of their prospectus.
