Anyone already take the Spanish Diagnostic?

how is it? what kind of stuff is on the test?

yes i would like to know too, how far into subjunctive? etc.... more vocab, gramamr, reading??

the spanish placement was done on a computer. The test was multiple choice and the more questions you got right the harder it would be and the the more questions you got wrong the easier it would be. As far as test questions...it tested vocab, grammar (verb tense), and reading passages. Overall, it took me about twenty minutes to complete the test. Don't stress too much over it. I only took three years of spanish (frosh - junior) and i passed out of the placement. Also, make sure you sign up with your OC (orientation counselor) because signing up online wont get you a placement spot.

-marshall

the test was pretty easy, i took it right next to marshall (what up man). Make sure you can read a passage and answer questions about it, because those seemed to be the hardest ones. I placed out, and i dont know that much spanish. Show up early if you didnt previously sign up so u can get a computer, good luck, orientation rocks

what percentage do you need to pass out? passing out = no language requirement?

you take the test and are placed into a level of spanish, UCLA requires atleast 3 levels completed in a language, so to "test out" of spanish you must place in a level above 3. If you test into 3, you have to take that class, and then you are done with language.

what percentage do you need to talke to place out of spanish

Has anyone who has taken it received confirmation or something? Cuz I got placed into Spanish 6, but my DPR still says that my foreign language requirement isn't fulfilled.

how long is the test?

As long as you want it to be. It usually takes people 20-30 minutes. It's very short.

so if i took spanish 3 at a comm college which is equivalent to ap span 4, i wont need to take the test correct?
