Anyone applicants in Ucb tap?

Anyone else here in ucla or Ucb tap? How do you feel about your chances of getting in?

Unfortunately they don’t offer TAP for UCB at my CCC, they do UCLA but it’s not offered for my major =/

I’m in tap for Berkeley. Supposedly most get in. I have yet to hear about anyone being reject, that is applying to any major other than in Haas. I feel not so good though, my GPA is low, 3.48. Who knows though anything can happen, I have a couple friends that got in with 3.3s

I’m a member, and even though we have about 80% chance, I still don’t feel confident haha, I feel I might end up on the 20% that don’t get in through the program haha.

I’m not a member because my college doesn’t offer it. It’s only in a very few Southern California community colleges. So - didn’t get that opportunity, obviously.

I don’t need it though. I’m confident I’ll get in.

I like the confidence OC.

The only ones I’m confident about are SD and SB. Berk and LA make me nervous.

(not in TAP)

@Spont: don’t sweat it too much bro. Last year one of my classmates got into haas out of tap with a 3.4. Though she did have a decent personal statement and overcame hardships. I’ve also never seen a tap member at my college get rejected, so there is hope

UCB TAP Student. I applied to Haas. The program helped a lot in regards to my personal statements, so we will see in April!

Did anyone receive an email from UCB Tap? I got an email from them today in which they asked for my application in order to further assist me for Fall 2014 (they want me to mail my application by Dec 16).

I’m a (UCLA)TAP student at Santa Monica College. If I don’t screw up in the finite math class I will take in the winter session, I’ll be 95% certain that I’ll get in at UCLA.

@ucastell I have not received this email.

Do you live in Northern or Southern California? I live in the bay area, about 45 mins away from Berkeley, so I assume they only sent this email to those of us who live in the bay? I’m not sure, because the email comes from the transfer department… It also gives us the contact info from the Berkeley representatives that work with the bay area schools in case we need more info (a total number of 4 representatives).

@ucastell
I’m around the area as well! Maybe I will contact my representative and see if there is anything else we could be actively doing during this process. Thanks for the heads up!

@FinanceWiz
No problem man, you should definitely email your app by dec 16, especially since you’re from the bay! Wish you the best of luck :slight_smile: I can give you the address if you want or need it :)

Not email sorry you need to mail it! my bad.

@ucastell Likewise, hopefully we’ll both get in! And yeah, I think I will email my representative tomorrow about this. Did your email say anything in particular about what they would help you with? Thanks

Btw, just saw your stats on the other thread. Incredible! I’m sure you stand a great chance. Hopefully, we’ll both be Cal Bears a year from now.

@FinanceWiz
Thank you that’s very nice of you, and I truly hope we both get in. What’s your major?
Oh and it doesn’t specifically say in what ways they’re going to help us, but I’m assuming they want to make sure our applications have no mistakes or simply want to review our personal statements or any other part of the app that might raise red flags. I can send you the whole thing if you want, I don’t know how to send private messages yet but I guess there’s always a first time for everything haha.

I’m part of UCB’s TAP program, although I couldn’t attend the application/personal statement workshop. Does anybody know if not attending eliminates the “advantages” that being a part of TAP affords?
