I’m not sure if being absent “eliminates” you chances, but I think that as long as you met with a Berkeley rep you should be fine. One of the things they told us was that we get a “special code” during admissions so that the admissions committee know we are members of the program. Therefore, in my opinion you should be fine if you’re a member of the program. :)</p>
<p>I just wanted to remind you guys that your application should be mailed to UCB by Monday Dec 16 so that they can revise it and continue helping you get into Berkeley (I believe the email was only sent for the applicants living in the bay, but I’m not sure if everyone got it). Anyway good luck to all the members of the program :)</p>
<p>@ucastell What “special code?” I didn’t attend the workshop. Though, I did get the email to send in a copy of my application by the 16th. Should I contact my rep you think?</p>

You should definitely send your application to the address given in the email. The “special code” is not given by the reps, is a special number the school puts in your app so that they know you’re a member of the program. You do not need to ask for it, they automatically put in your app.</p>
<p>Thanks ucastell. I did meet with the TAP rep. from my region and have gotten emails from the program occasionally. I was unaware of the code you mention but have already sent a copy of my application just in case. </p>
<p>I also live in SoCal and got two emails: one from the rep. at my college and one from the director of the program. Good luck by the way!</p>

My major is in the biological sciences. I applied to UCB as a Molecular Cell Bio with an emphasis in Neurobio or immuno (still not sure, I guess I will find out if I hopefully get accepted), UCLA as a Neuroscience, UCD as a Neurobio immunology and physiology, and UCSD as neuroscience. And don’t worry you’re not nosy. I’m also a TAP for UCLA and Tagged at Davis. How about you, which schools did you apply besides UCB? I’m assuming Berkeley is one of your top choices, right?</p>
<p>@ucastell That’s highly impressive. At my school TAP for UCLA is practically a guarantee, so if that’s the case in yours as well you’ll have some thinking to do come April (I assume, unless you know exactly where you want to go). Not to mention TAG at Davis, congrats on those achievements! </p>
<p>I’m in the languages, Spanish to be precise. I also applied to UCLA; UCSD; UCI; and three other CSU’s and plan to apply to USC at the beginning of next year. I have no TAP with UCLA and no TAG with UCSD or UCI. Berkeley has always been my top choice. I did everything I could academically, so now all that’s left is to wait and cross my fingers. </p>
<p>We should keep in touch UCB TAP members, I know nobody else from the program at my school. In any case, thanks for sharing. I hope you get accepted to all of them!</p>

I haven’t received anything regarding UCB TAP update email. But I am meeting with my advisor on the 15th. You can try emailing your advisor and see when they drop by your campus?</p>

<p>I received an email from TAP in which they want me to mail the myberkeleyapp completed to the address given in the email so that they can continue helping me with the app. Did anyone else receive a similar email?</p>
<p>I believe only students living in North Cal need to mail their completed myberkeleyapp. I am in the TAP program too. Do you think they want a copy for each section on myberkeleyapp website or just the main page with all the boxes checked?</p>
