I applied as well. I cannot wait to get my answer lol And I’m happy to be done with math when the quarter is over :)

@SemiKolon what are your stats?

My stats:

GPA: 3.90
Breadth: done
Prereqs: Calc 2 in progress
Essay: was pretty good as far as I can say.
Job Exp: related full time work for about 2 years
ECs: President of a business club

So nothing really special :)

Well it looks as if I’m certainly outgunned haha. I applied with a 3.55 GPA from a service academy. I’ve read a fair amount of threads and my odds seem extremely low.

Enjoy Berkeley for me guys :(

@geo674 don’t be discouraged!! remember the transfer range for last year, and i believe other years before last as well, was 3.5-4.0 so 3.5 students obviously got in. i think haas loves experience and depth, not only professionally, but personally. i think if you conveyed through your essays and ECs who you are as a person/what you have overcome and why you want to study business, you’re golden. just my personal opinion, but the transfers i have spoken have told me that the adcoms want to know YOU, not just how well you can study or churn out good grades.

don’t lose hope!!
i hope everyone single one of us on this thread gets accepted!

Does anyone know the stats for admission decisions for internal transfers ? Specifically, how many people were accepted? I believe, the decisions were out on February, 20…Lucky them. :)

The stats for continuing students are on the website. It’s about 45+% acceptance for them and 6% for transfers. The undergrad student body is comprised of ~75% continuing and ~25% transfer.

Sent from my DROID RAZR using CC

The 6% is actually somewhat misleading. If you look here:

[Class Profile, Undergraduate Program, Berkeley-Haas](<a href=“Class Profile - Undergraduate Program - Berkeley Haas”>Class Profile - Undergraduate Program - Berkeley Haas)

1033 applicants did not show planned completion of the admission requirements and were considered ineligible. Of the 442 eligible applicants, 91 (21%) were offered admission.

I applied to Haas as well, but my background isn’t as impressive
Applied to: UCB (Haas), UCD, UCLA

CCC ~3.70 GPA (Probably more close to 3.74)
All major requirements completed
IGETC NOT completed. Also missing one breadth (CCC mishaps =/)

Other:
International Baccalaureate Diploma recipient
AP Calc BC, AP Chem
Bilingual
Internship at insurance firm
Currently employed at a consulting firm
Alpha Gamma Sigma officer
Honor Roll, Dean’s List, etc.

I also picked the status quo principle and I feel like I did pretty good on both statements (November and January).

Does anyone have solid information on how many (if any) of the 91 accepts were non-resident transfers? Thanks

Sorry if I am missing this somewhere but when do you guys find out if you got into Haas? Good luck everyone!

It’s released on April 26

@geo674 by non residents, do you mean international students? If so, about 20 of the 91 were international.

@comp100 I was referring to how many are non-California schools/resident transfers. Out of the 91, 20 were internationals, how many were ccc and were the rest from other, non-California schools? Sorry for the initial poor wording!

From what I’ve read, OOS transfer into Haas is extremely rare.

[Ms. Sun’s UC Admissions Blog - Haas Transfer Update](Error)

I heard from somewhere, I think a conference Haas had a few months back, that of the 91 admitted, only 1 was OOS.

Correct, as far as I know :)

cheeriliee, yes there are many that don’t show planned completion, but that doesn’t take away from the fact they applied. If more of them did show planned completion, there would not be any more spots for transfers. It is not a 21% acceptance based on how many people apply; there are only ~90 spots for transfers regardless.

Thanks Geo674

Quick question. If you don’t get accepted into Haas does that automatically mean you don’t get accepted into Berkeley as a transfer? Or do/can they defer you to economics?

Also, I really want to know if being an International Baccalaureate Diploma recipient helps you in any way. I mean, you obviously don’t see many at a CC so I wouldn’t know lol.
