Anyone apply ED for class of 2021?

@Janiebug I think it will be 6:30 at the latest, possibly even 7 (I’m really hopeful for tonight if you haven’t noticed). I’m just going to keep refreshing and see what happens. In past years it was 6:30.

@thatginger56 Good to know! I will plan to stop freaking out by 7:30 tonight if nothing happens by then.

Last year it was 5, so maybe we will here VERY soon?!

I GOT IN!! Good luck to everyone!

@thatginger56 Congrats!!!

My daughter just called me- she is in :slight_smile:

they’re out!!!

I’m IN!!! OMG I’m in. This school was my dream and hugest reach imaginable. I’m crying so hard right now, Tribe Class of 2021 here I come oh my god.

Mon son did not get in, but got deferred. Does anyone have any idea what percentage of deferred students eventually get accepted?

My daughter got denied. She is distraught. Out hearts are broken.

I’m so sorry. As they said on the site- there isn’t much to say to make that easier. She WILL get in a good school and she can always transfer to W&M. She is lucky to have you for a mom. Best of luck to both of you.

Feeling helpless tonight. My son applied ED and was deferred. OOS application SAT (new) 1380 while not great isn’t terrible. He has 4 AP classes and excellent grades and extra curricular activities along with volunteering.
He worked as an intern at a financial firm this year.
This has been his dream since he was a small child and we visited Williamsburg. We have returned there every year.

The entire process and limited amount of OOS students accepted is heart breaking.

Just needed to vent.

I would be interested in knowing this too.

I understand, my daughter was outright denied and she had decent scores, 9 AP classes, got 5’s on most, super strong letters and great essay, did their NIAHD program last summer & lived in the dorm for 3 wks - she is devastated, has been her dream as well. We are crushed. So sorry for your son but he still might have a chance in the spring! You’re right, the entire process is heart breaking.

Feeling your pain. & yes he has had other AP courses and honors classes in HS, the 4 are from this year. He received 4&5’s.
Keeping my fingers crossed but will try and get him in a place where he will consider other schools.
He also submitted to UVA which I felt would be more difficult. Hoping he will submit an app for the University of Richmond too.

@Squann66 My daughter will now apply to those schools, Chapel Hill &. couple others, there is still an ED2 for UR. Aren’t all these schools harder though? I worry it’s giving her false hope. What do you think? my daughters scores were not as high as they should be & I think that’s what did her in for W& M. I wonder if it’s just not realistic to apply at these schools. She’s looking at Villanova, too, easier but still somewhat competitive.

Richmond might actually be a better chance because you are not competing with in-staters. Good luck with everything, I’m sure you will all go to great schools.

@TribeAspirer2021 Hi! Idk if you are still doing the groupme thing, but if it is still going strong, I’d love to be added: realmodelbehavior@gmail.com :slight_smile: and Congrats on your acceptance!

What are your daughter’s stats if I may ask?

@ariaamusic added!
