hell yes they do!

for someone who wants to go into consulting and wants a small school experience, this is a hard choice.

i wasnt talking about grad schools. Have I ever mentioned grad school in any of my posts? I was generalizing about the fact that most people DONT go to grad schools, so their first job will always be impacted by whether or not your school is known.

If, and only if, Jimmy decides NOT to attend grad school, for whatever reason (people always change their minds), pomona would be a terrible choice, esp if you are going to norcal, out of state, or even around the world.

i don't know anyone who didn't have to get beyond a BA/BS to get hired...
i'm not trying to pick a fight. but most people need to get a master's or phd or jd to ... be a doctor, practice law, most writers go beyond ba... i dunno. i guess i just respectfully disagree! to each his/her own

Pomona is well known for sending its students on to become great leaders in the business world. I'm pretty sure you won't have a problem finding a job within their great network, if all else fails.

This is an interesting comparison of CA schools. Note Pomona is the #1 LAC in CA and #6 in the country.

I'm a potential employer, and I would hire a Pomona grad over a UCLA grad in a second. In my opinion, Pomona College is a far superior school. BTW, I'm on the East Coast.

cool! you can hire me in 2 years (if i get accepted)..

nevermind, got rejected. but on top of that envelope was a very large one from Brown :)
