I sort of love the fact that there’s hardly any posts on this forum, but at the same time it leaves me wondering…did anyone apply here?

I applied early action.

Yes, the Bennington thread is always pretty quiet. I guess the kids are too cool for CC (I’m a parent). Don’t worry. If you end up going, you won’t be the only one there.

Haha good to hear. It’s not my first choice, but I feel like I could be very happy there.

yes!! i applied early action as well. actually, i just got off the phone with a lovely admissions interviewer. i thought there was no way in hell i’d end up somewhere as small as bennington, but then i visited and sort of fell in love. it’s really a great place, i think i could be really happy there.

My daughter applied EA. When will the decisions be mailed? @bg4260-We haven’t visited yet. What were your impressions of the school and the students?

February 1st.

I talked to one of the people in admissions and they said that they were aiming to mail the letters out on Jan 27th, to make sure they got to people by Feb 1st. So we should hear any day now!

my son received his acceptance on Saturday(Jan 28th)

Yeah, I’m in too. Financial aid in the next two weeks.

I just got my acceptance letter today for early action! waiting to hear about financial aid. . .

Congratulations to all those who got in!

@njmomo4 - it was a really pleasant atmosphere overall. every student i talked to seemed to really love it. my tour guide, evan, was very friendly and clearly passionate about what he did (he’s studying zoology, and he took a field work term at an elephant reserve in alabama). obviously, it’s a VERY small-school feel - every person we passed acknowledged that evan had gotten a new sweater. the campus is beautiful (especially in october), but if you’re not one for gravel roads and swampy hillsides, it may not be for you. i’d definitely recommend a visit if possible. it’s a little hard to explain without being there. it’s lovely, though - you live in colonial houses instead of dorms, and they sort each house by personality like hogwarts. lots of places for students to perform and work creatively - black box theatres, dance studios, a great art studio, and the like.

also - i applied EA and haven’t heard anything yet. it’s feb 1st and nothing came in the mail today…anybody else still waiting to hear?

My daughter is still waiting. Thought she was the only one.

Thanks for your comments, bg4260.

Has anyone done an overnight at Bennington? I couldn’t find any information about it on the website and I emailed the admissions office about it and they never got back to me.
