@goldenratiophi: It's your choice, but if you decide not to apply EDI, you lose your chance of applying anywhere else on EDII in case you didn't get in through EDI. I'm sure you know of that already, but just in case-- I didn't realize it until somebody told me.
And don't get too frustrated about Why Oberlin essay... Why essays are generally less counted than your main essay. It's good if you spend a lot of time on it, but make any super important decisions just because of it.</p>

<p>Me too. I hanged around the Oberlin website and Livejournal for such a long time that I sometimes feel attached to these people. It sounds wierd, but I can't get it out of my mind... It would be a sad departure when bad news arrives.</p>

btw does oberlin send the decisions by mail only or do they also send an e-mail? if they send by mail then i'll have to wait 5-10 more days after dec15 to see the result.</p>

I applied ED and am counting down the days with fingers crossed. These posts have made me feel so much better--I thought I was such a dork looking at everything online prematurely, but it's good to know I'm not the only one going a little nuts. I think it's impossible not to. Or maybe that's just what all insane people think. Either way, I'm a certified Obie expert at this point, so as much as I buy into the whole 'you'll end up where you're supposed to be' motto I don't know what I'm going to do with the alternate of "jake brody huffs mad dong' I've already made up. Good luck everyone, hopefully I'll be seeing you all around campus not too long from now!</p>
