Is that more competitive than ED I or Regular Decision. ANyon applying ED II? If so, what are your stats? and why did u choose to do it?

I might by applying EDII... I haven't made my decision yet... im actually waiting for my decision from BC to come one of these days.
im not gonna say anything about my stats cause they are not gonna say anything about the decision thats gonna be made about me since im a really special case... i came from another country couple of yrs ago so my SAT scores arent great... actually what killed me is the verbal... i had a 160 pt split so yea not too happy about them. i think i have really good recommendations and amazing essays, so those are the things im counting on to get me in....
I have no idea what to tell you about how competitive it is to get in EDII all i know is that Tufts loves ED applicants and you have a good shot at getting in if you apply EDII. so thats a good thing :-)
i chose Tufts bc i liked it a lot when i visited... a friend of mine goes there and i went to visit him. the environment seems good, a lot like my town, and i liked the whole presentation that the admissions officer gave... im esp. interested in international relations and Tufts has a really strong department in that area... how about you? what made you chose Tufts?

Hi Razorsharp911... I am applying EDII. I haven't sent it in yet (sigh), I am rewriting my essay. Here are my stats

I trimmed down my resume - I originally explained everything on it

I am 15% in my class - there are about 170
I did not send in my SAT's. They weren't bad, but I didn't think they would help.
This year, I have 3 AP's. Last Year I had 4 AP's... and I have a packed schedule with all three languages offered at my school.

You do need to send in SATs and SAT IIs for Tufts, regardless of whether or not you want to include them on your resume.

I want to apply ED II but i already sent in my application for regular decision. I really want to change it but I dont know if I can. I emailed an admissions officer to see but he hasnt replied yet, so does anyone have any idea whether it will be possible?
I also have one more SAT II to take in January because I was sick and missed the november test date. And my interview isnt until the beginning of Jan. Do you guys think itll be a problem?

Do you think EDII will help my chances??
I REALLY REALLY want to go to Tufts.

Snuffles, I took both the SAT and 3 SAT II's. I forgot to post them here beacuse our school posts our scores on the face of our transcript. Anyways, I got 1110 on the SAT, and my SAT's weren't too hot either. I have a feeling that my scores might keep me out... (sigh)

good luck elysse, ur other extra currics and everything look really good though so you never know.

Paprika, forget email, get on the phone to admissions and work on your "Why Tufts essay." As I stated in my other posting to you, your class rank is a bit problematic but everything else looks superduper. As you know by now, kids applying ED are well thought of by admissions and get accepted at a significantly greater rate. (37% ED vs. 25% RD I think) Applying ED2 will give you a considerable edge and a bit of "forgiveness" for your class rank, and you don't want that class rank to keep you out during the RD round when your overall credentials look stellar.

Yes, Paprika, calling is always scary but that way you can switch your app to ED2 quickly and easily and you can be sure that it was done. It's a fairly easy process- they just need to find your app and check the other box for you and then toss your file into the ED pile. So go for it!

Thanks!!! good luck to everyone too! Ill tell you how it goes....
