Anyone applying ED?

LOL..me too! I have a countdown and every morning I'm happy to rip another paper off...44 more days left (December 16th for me).

WAIITTTTT this is really scary!! why does everyone already seem to have sent off their app?! arent there any procrastinators who are going to send it on the 9th or something like me??? the online part i mean....

Do we get our letters the 15th or do they send them out the 15th? So nervous!!

haha awesome, priceless...how do you know which day to expect it?

heba...i was way too excited to get my williams app out...nows its gonna be sending all the other ones that'll be the problem =X good luck, you'll get it out in time..i have faith :)

tmL we're probably gonna get our letters the same day! i'm in plainview

The decisions are mailed out December 15th and it takes one day for mail from Williamstown to reach Boston! :)

Don't be surprised if the letters take longer than a day. There have been posts on these boards every year from applicants bemoaning the fact that they haven't received anything even a week after letters are sent out. Furthermore, I've seen posts from people in CA getting theirs quickly while those in the Northeast can take longer.

Good luck.

Good luck to all of you. It's not much more than a month before the letters will go out.

32 days, or something like that

^^ 32 days exactly. Are you counting too? :)

Yes, I'm counting for my D, who has eyes only for Williams. It's a wonderful place, isn't it?

32 days, eh? And then a lag for the mail to arrrive. I so hate to think of those envelopes mixed in with the last-minute Christmas catalogues and other massive volumes of junk mail! I'm guessing that one can always call if nothing has arrived by the 22nd, although there might not be anyone in Bascom to take the call. But I'm already ahead of myself -- that's next month's worry.

Best of luck to you and to all of the other EDers. I hope the month goes by quickly for all of you and that the news is happy.

Thanks Grace, good luck to your daughter too.
I hope we can all proudly call ourselves 'Williams Class of 2011" soon

ajdgasjdasg yeah we're getting down to the last month =O

One month from today....

anyone else getting anxious/nervously doubtful about their chances??

^^Me...before I was very confident about by chances, but now I'm not so confident.

In four weeks from today, most of the letters will have been delivered or will be nearly there.

Relax and enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday. Everything's going to be fine in the end.

ahhh. i'm so nervous. it's so soon and also so far away.. haha

just dug into the archives and read last years ed acceptances/rejections and completely freaked out.... is anyone else completely losing it like i am?! what was i thinking applying early with a 2140???? and terrible math grades!!!! :( and like no sports...
i need dec 15th NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW

heba, you are not alone!

and try to relax about your stats, I bet your application was great!

[[[...."not that I follow my own advice," she thinks, as she flips out for the 42nd time today ;) ]]]

well, 15 days isn't that long...right? ehhhhhh

A week or ten days ago, my D received a purple postcard indicating that Williams had her ED application and would notify her if anything was missing. She had already received the green postal return receipt card indicating that they had received her part of the application (which went as a paper submission by the mail, rather than online) and she's very fortunate to have a coach asking about her application to make sure that everything gets to the right folder in Bascom, but the card was still really reassuring.

I should have posted something back then. I don't know whether they sent the cards to all (non-international) applicants or just to those who used the paper application. I suppose that, if you used the paper application, are in the States, and haven't received a postcard, it might be a good idea to call on Monday to make sure they received your application.

Good luck to all. They'll be mailing the letters in two weeks. I hope that you'll each manage to fill the next two weeks with fun things that totally distract you from the waiting.

ahhhh... i just found this thread--I'm applying early too. Do they really SEND out the letters on the 15th? That means almost a week more to wait! (i'm from california)... this is killing me. good luck to you all!
