Anyone Applying ED1?

yeah, they are. stanford is like 90 bucks… O-O aha… i think jeancocteau should.

Huge major 3rd-hand disclaimer, but: Admissions expects to make final decisions early next week with letters arriving mid-week…but I’d be fine if my source is overestimating… (anyone from admissions who is reading this is probably getting a good chuckle over everyone’s nail-biting)

i wonder if they have an idea who everyone is ahahha… i always wonder what kind of person the thing i am from my application.

well maybe they’ll take pity and comment! Please, Pomona people? haha

haha “please give me your common app IDs and we will accept all of you.” that would be awesome :P

omg that’d be the best.

@otisp: we, too, heard the committee is making decisions all this week. they may be moving a little more slowly because the new admissions director will have his own preferred process. and there are more apps this year, so i’m sure they’re weighing the specifics very carefully. still, it would be a gift if they finished early!

AHH! I’m freaking. haha to be expected, I suppose. Anyways- I’m really hoping they’ll be sending them out tomorrow rather than Monday/Tuesday. :P

I’m praying for that too lol.

I kind of hope I get accepted but I kind of hope I get deferred too lol. It’s kind of like…I want to go to Pomona but I also want to see if some of the colleges I applied to are willing to take me. It’s one of those “what if” moments in my life. And also financial aid stuff. :/

Any chance you think theyll get them into the mail tomorrow if the 15 isn’t for another week? They mailed them on Friday in 09 but the 15 was on a Tuesday. Can’t take the anticipation anymore!

Me either! My heart is permanently in my throat. I can’t focus haha- I’m actually fine at school, but once I’m home, I’m a wreck. I think that if they’re done, they’ll send them out tomorrow. If not it’ll be Monday. It’s hard to tell with the new dean of admissions this year…

I doubt they’ll mail it tmrrw.
Then socal kids will get it on the 10th, which is a little too early.
Saturday, maybe, but most likely Monday or Tuesday.

If they mail it tomorrow, socal kids would get it on the 12th, which has happened in past years. I’ve sent mail to friends in Claremont before, and it takes about two days, and Sunday is no post.

AHHH asked my college counselor, and he said they requested “quarter grades” which we don’t have, so he responded saying so. Will not having anything to send in disadvantage me in any way (if my grades were predicted to increase)? :(

i wish we didn’t have quarter grades -_- if that’s the reason i don’t get in, i swear i’ll regret not locking myself in my room for the last four months to study nonstop.

Maybe they’ll give you guys the benefit of the doubt  And tamtastic- did your regional admissions officer ever respond to you?

No, she didn’t. I didn’t expect her to… I mean what would she say, you know? I’m just hoping she GOT IT, 'cause since she didn’t reply I have no way of knowing :P

a nice “i’ll pass it along” or “i received your email” or “thanks for your interest in Pomona- we’ll be sending out the letters soon” would be good. Idk. just me lol I AM IN NO WAY DISRESPECTING POMONA. I STILL <3 IT haahaha just in case they’re watching. can’t be too careful.

Yeah… it would have been nice… but why can you do? :frowning: SDLJKFKL:SDJF:AIOSFJ:LSKDFJL:SDF If I get in, I’m still going to go up on Tuesday (if I find out Monday) and get my sweatshirt  The ones online are not cute… ahaha. I could ask friends to get it, but it’s not the same :P

yeah  you need to go and buy it for yourself and cherish it forever haha my brother saved the first UC Berkeley shirt he bought when he was in like 8th grade waaaayyy before he ended up going there.
