How hard and demanding is the nursing school course? I am considering enrolling soon. What type of classes are in a typical nursing school course?

Look at the website of any university and you can find the actual courses listed for the degree you are seeking.

I agree with marybee that you can look at the Nursing curriculums at the colleges you are interested in to see the exact courses. Most 4 year BSN Programs commonly include in the first two years basic sciences courses such as General Biology, General Chemistry, BioOrganic Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Psychology, Nutrition, and Pharmacology. A number of these courses include lab components and obviously are in the “sciences” area. Many direct entry Nursing programs also include in the first two years some introductory Nursing courses, some with clinical components. These courses are in addition to any general education requirements of the college (which vary greatly depending on the school). Nursing curriculums are very rigorous and intense so you need to be prepared to place an emphasis on your studies in order to ensure success. Good luck.
