So who here is applying to AEM in CALS?
It's ranked 14th on US News.. I thought it'd be higher.
Do you guys think it's harder to get into than say.. NYU Stern?
What about for girls.. better chances? There's 36% female undergrads in AEM.

soo.. is that a no? help people.. pleasee! i dont know what kind of business program this school would have.. i keep getting mixed reviews from teachers/students who go there. anything at all would be a great help :)

stern is much harder than cornell.. Stern is the second hardest business school to get into.

What is your information based on yong1985? Show me some Stern statistics.

Cornell AEM c/o 2008:

About 40% scored 1400 or better
Yield rate is 77%
Admittance rate is 19%

I can't find the Stern statistics but I'm pretty sure Cornell AEM is more selective.

anyone applying to AEM in CALS? try almost EVERYONE who is applying to CALS. most people apply to AEM or biological sciences and some others

hey....i heard a lot from stern. there are a lot of people that have1500's that got rejected. but i'm pretty sure that stern is harder than cornell.

cornell is 14, stern in 5.

stern is known internationally.

i'm an international student, stern is much popular than cornell, i have never heard about cornell until i came to the states.

Stern graduate school is more popular than cornell by far.

i don't have any stats to support my stats. but according to a lot of people, stern is very hard to get into.

i might be wrong, but stern is a really good business school, since it's located in NY,and a lot of companies of top 100 fortunes companies recruit students from NYu.

i just wasnt sure if many people were applying to cornell aem. because it isnt really a well known business program.. like all of my friends who want to pursue business..and go to an undergrad program.. are actually applying to hotel or ILR since they're more established programs. i don't know many people who are applying to cornell specifically because of their aem business program.. (like..it's not really anyone's first choice to go to)

Stern is more widely known because it is a much older undergraduate business program than AEM. AEM was recently ranked 14th from no-rank. They're both awesome schools but I highly doubt Stern is as selective as AEM because it can't achieve anywhere near a yield rate of 77%.

Look at the other yield rates from other schools: Yale (68%), Princeton (73%), Stanford (70%), and Harvard (79%). Only Harvard has a higher yield rate than the AEM program by a mere 2%.

This is even considering that AEM is a fairly new program. It received its first ranking this year! So, I know they will become even more selective and there have been rumors about Cornell even making a new undergraduate college just for business.
