Anyone applying to Brown? (as a Finalist for Regular Decision)

If so, did you send the Common Application and Brown Supplement as well?

no I did not. On the regular decision instructions, it says that QB can be used in lieu of common app.

I did not either. On their website, they said that we needed to, while on the Regular Decision Table, it said not to. So I e-mailed a week or two ago:

Whoops. Does anyone know what would happen if I sent all three (I updated my activities list on the Common Application and answered specific Brown questions on the Supplement for the PLME)?

UPDATE FOR FUTURE CCers:

Brown will look at everything you send. Whether or not they appreciate the extra work is another matter entirely.

what’s brown’s email? I emailed them almost two weeks ago saying I want to be considered for RD and have received no response…

Dear ******,

We will indeed consider your QuestBridge application for the Regular Decision process. In a few weeks, you will receive a password to check the status of your application materials online. You should also visit the website of the Financial Aid Office to make sure that you submit the necessary financial documents.

Me:
Thank you very much. Since I have already submitted the common
application, will Brown consider both for admission, or will I need to

choose?

Dear ******,

Since you’ve submitted the Common Application, we will consider both applications. No need to not send one or the other.

My counselor uploaded all my forms for Brown to the CommonApp (transcript, secondary school report / counselor rec, etc). Schools don’t download these forms until the CommonApp is submitted.

Is it okay for me to submit the CommonApp to them so that they may download these forms, but ignore the supplement? Or if I submit the CommonApp will I have to submit the supplement as well?
