Do u guys noe anything about aeronautical eng in France? is Aeronautical Eng in Germany popular?
Which is the most famous uni or engineering school in France?

i know nothing...

both stats are good. can't say anything more. hope you're gonna get where you want.

bulloid, i strongly recommend the RWTH Aachen for any engineering major... they're ranked #1 in germany and aachen is a very beautiful city..

Friends, I sent my application to IUB through courier on Feb1, It will reach on 3rd probably. Can any body suggest whether they will accept it for round II?

I guess so. I'm sure that my app arrived on December 13-16th and I was in the round I. Good Luck, there.

They will accept it, don't worry. Mine arrived on the 6th, I guess.

hey, i've found their old site:
http://iub.ip-technik.net

I am aplying there R2,
but according to stats its not really one of the most elite German universtities, its not even too elite in the private german universities chart. About free rides: calm down, the free rides I know of are: pay $2k and take a loan of $7k per year, - so for 3 years you would pay (of course the loan could be payed later) $27k.

According to which stats?
Which are the better private German unis?

hey, thanks!

n errmmm...is Aachen very selective in admitting students?
Wat if i know nothing about German language? Can i still apply for the uni? I thought they need some basic knowledge in German even for International courses??

Is there any scholarship offered in Aachen? if yes, how can i apply for it?

Fine by me, if they grant the loans and it's a student loan instead of a parent loan.

But i'm an international student..do u think they will grant me the loan?
N is it true tat if i choose to study Engineering in Germany, i hav to take the Master program as well? $ is in wat currency?
US or Euro?

dollars :), intels do get those loans
bogororo: according to some stats of serious surveys in Germany, those stats were attached to a IUG (the other famous international university in germany) brouchure. IUG was much higher than IUB, but in general I drew the conclusion that German state universities are much better than the private ones. If you are interested in state ones - check them out, the tuition is not high but you have to pay your living cost. And some offer studying in English

I already did that, like 3 years ago. The main problem is you cannot get a student visa without passing the DSH (Deutsch fuer Hochschuelen) test, which is quite hard. On the other hand, I would not haste to say that the state ones are necesarily better than the private ones like IUB, because they employ different systems. State Unis have the European system where one applies to a specific department, while IUB has the American system of going to college and then choosing a major. I don't like the European system, which is in place in Romania as well, that's why I think that IUB delivers a better education. Again, this is my personal view and I am sure that others think the opposite.
It's the first time I've heard about IUG, and I checked their website. The problem, for me (Eastern-European requiring lots of FA) is that IUG offers too little aid - the fee waiver is 30% of tuition, the most, and then you need to take the student loan to pay for the rest of tuition. But even with that, I would still have to prove I am able to pay living costs to get a visa, and that would certainly not be possible.

Totally agree with bogororo.
I was admitted at Moscow State and I don't wanna go there just because it's also in European System.
What about IUG, there's no Chemistry major, is there?
IUB is anly 4 years old and I think that it's a lil' bit early to look at stats. let's look et them like 10 years years from now..
and testDAF really sucks...

<<<<bump>>>>></bump>

what do you think about research and interships @ IUB?

You can contact the women working at the Career Service Office. They were really helpful to me when explaining IUB's opportunities for internships and career possibilites.

My hundredth post! :)
thank you, vesselina.

hi guys,
i got into IUB first round. It was my safety. Yes they are need blind in the sense that they do not consider ur finaid while offering admissions, but that doesnt mean that if admtted, then they will make sure that you are able to attend the univeristy!. That was what happened with me. Plus with their latest policy you have to have to pay at least 5000 euros a year (these are the additional expenses besides room, tution and board). they say clearly that they are not respnsible for this amount. also for the 18960 euros fees of Tution room and board they will give u a minimum loan of 5000 euros. So basically i donr really wanna go their now. Its not the best thing in the world if you are not rich. Best of luck to all of you guys. Hope that u get whatever you people want.
Good bye.
