Anyone applying to Germany? (IUB?)

I would say the same thing - I think they will accept it in the end, w/o TOEFL. You have a great verbal score so that should be enough to waive the TOEFL requirement in the end. But send it today, and, if possible by DHL/UPS.

Good luck!

ok, thnx guys!!!

I got in withot TOEFL. If you have SAT II Writing Score above 600, your TOEFL is waived.

great...tt's gd news :)

Hi Meder,
I think you stay in Kirghizia. We heard disturbing news from Kirghizia. I hope you are safe. Whats going on there?

--:= bump =:--

guys, you know what, im not satisfied with IUB's financial aid package for me:

8490 grant
3000 family contribution
7500 tuition postponement

:(

so i dont think i will be able to attend IUB, no matter how much i want to..

:(

PierreMarie,
Have you not received scholarship of 5k with your admission mail?

no, motso, there wasnt any scholarship :(

aNY GOOD NEWS FROM UNIV AT US?

Hey, who is definitely going to IUB?? I've been rejected from most of my US universities up to now so i'm 98% sure that I'm going to Bremen this fall

Any idea how the student loan is to be repaid,
Is repayment defered if the student goes for graduate studies either in IUB or outside? With a undergraduate degree, can a student expect to get job to be able to repay. Is there any internship for one year as in USA. These are some of the questions which are bothering me.

You'd better email IUB with those questions. They'd give you the most competent answers and advice. If you do so, please share with us what you've learnt. Good luck :)

ckakalacheva, I'm probably going to IUB this fall :)
although I haven't received all of my admission decisions yet, I'd better get into the mood of going to Germany :) which, I think, is great after all

It would be nice meeting you there :)) Do you know any German? I can speak just a little but I plan to start studying it harder this summer ;o)
What do you plan to major there? I'm most probably doing Biochemistry and Cell Biology. :))

I know NO German! :/
Studying German used to be a nightmare of mine :)
I suppose I should change my attitude now...

i applied to IUB in round 2 but somehow they claim to have evaluated my application in round 1 ( when i hadnt even sent it) and rejected me. wht a pathetic excuse 4 a university!

that's strange...

Hi. I will be applying to IUB for the forth round. About the teacher rec and counselor rec, is there like a special form, or can i just use the common app?And i was wondering, is it ok to apply to IUB, although i have already gave my deposit to a univ in US? Just to open up my options or something like that... cause fact is, if the univ i'm suppose to go to does not review my fin aid app again, then well.....i wouldn't mind going to iub(if i get in, that is)...

There are special forms, look at the website.

BTW, does anyone know if it is too bad to apply to IUB for round IV? I'm thinking that all the places will be given by now, and that I will stand no chance. What do you think?
