Anyone attending or applying to USC Davis School of Gerontology??

I’m applying is USC Davis School of Gerontology and majoring in Lifespan Health. I can’t find anyone who is either attending that school or knows about the major. Do a lot of students apply to Davis School of Gerontology?

Greetings,

Please contact this email at allenwil@usc.edu. I can connect you with current students that are apart of our Student Gerontology Association (SGA). We are constantly having events and various activities for your to get involved in where you will be able to network with your peers.

I can’t say that I hear a lot about the gerontology school at the undergraduate level; seems more popular at the graduate level. My department/major in Dornsife College was quite small too though (~70 students).

Anyway, I took a gerontology course for some elective upper division credits. Very enlightening class. It was called GERO 380: Diversity in Aging and it really opened my eyes to the struggles of older generations. For instance, how some get bored with retirement life and want to return to the workforce or go back to school. Yet, they find that colleges aren’t always equipped to deal with the problems that come with old age and how to teach in a way that accommodates those needs. Good luck! Seems like an interesting major
