I can't find much information on the Summer Bridge Program except that it's part of the Academic Success Programs. Anyone know where we'll be staying and whether air fare and food are covered?

c14, contact the asp or the admissions office, you probably got information regarding it in your admission letter. and more specifics will probably not come until later.

Thanks admissionsgeek! By the time I get off school, their offices are already closed. I will have to try emailing them.

Hey Columbia14, I assume you were admitted to HEOP/NOP because I got the same letter and was admitted to HEOP. I have talked to a few friends who attended the Summer Bridge Program last year to get a better understanding of what it entails. Last year, participants stayed in Carman Hall and took 4 classes (Physics, Chemistry Calculus and University Writing for SEAS students…not quite sure what it was for CC) and participated in various activities on and around campus. Yes, food is covered from what I understand. As for whether air-fare is covered or not, that is something you need to contact ASP office about. Hopefully, we’ll meet over the summer. =D

Btw. Are you SEAS or CC?

are we allowed to start come courses early? (those not in HEOP)

Thanks LetsGoColumbia! I am CC.

I was put into the National Opportunities Program. The bridge program sounds like fun! I would think that the program is the same for both SEAS and CC admits, but I’ll be sure to ask them!
