I am considering UCLA as one of the law schools. I would like to attend in a few years. Currently I am a sophomore at a JC (American River), planning on transferring to Berkley in a year & 1/2.

For those accepted into the sol, what was your gpa? Where did you transfer from? I just want some info to see how good my chances are of being accepted to the the law school.

Thanks.

Law school admissions is largely a numbers game and will depend mostly on your GPA and LSAT score.

i've wanted to be a bruin for a while and i'd consider it my second-choice law school. i'll be applying this september with strong lsats and a B+ ugpa. get in touch with me later in the year and i'll let you know how their app process is, and how i fare. just fyi, last year ucla was (if i remember correctly) the #15 law school in the country according to us news, so take that for what it's worth. and as far as your chances, you really won't have any inkling until you know what kind of lsat score you're going to be working with, because it's SO vital to law school admissions.

I thought you can get into a law school without doing the LSAT as long as you have a major from a 4 yr?

i've never heard of that being the case anywhere...and even if it is true at certain places (Cooley? haha) I realllllly doubt you can even apply to ucla without having an lsat score. it's just too big a factor.

not sure where you heard that but the lsat is the most vital part of the admissions process.
