Anyone Audition for Steinhardt NYU Music Business Program?

Hey,

I wanted to apply/audition for the music business program at Steinhardt at NYU and I have a couple questions about the audition package.

When I need to perform two musical pieces on video, this can just be a solo a cappella, correct? I don't need to use an instrument? Also, along with the audition package, is there an additional application I need to send in? Or is the audition package the application? If not, where can I find the application? Thanks for your help.

Seems pretty straight forward as they have it outlined here [Undergraduate Auditions - Undergraduate Program - Music Business - NYU Steinhardt](http://steinhardt.nyu.edu/music/business/programs/undergraduate/auditions)

Item 3d states:

If you do 3d a capella, you will be in effect be submitting three a capella submissions, because 3b & 3c are a capella requirements.

If you have or can provide something accompanied for 3d, it may be beneficial, as it adds a different perspective, but it is not mandatory to be an accompanied piece as I interpret the requirements.

There is no separate audition application, but the components of the “audition package” are pretty explicit and require the cover sheet and checklist detailed in item 4.

You do need to be aware of this

but it does NOT constitute a part of the audition package.

If there are any doubts, call the music department and speak with someone familiar with the program. The clerk who answers the phone may or may not give you the right answers.
