Has anyone been accepted or denied admission to UCF yet?? if so please post stats
If you’re in the top 10% of your florida high school, with a recalculated UCF gpa of 3.9+, and an ACT of a 22, you will be automatically admitted.
I have been admitted
3.85 UW (6.45 W)
Ranked 4/441
SAT 2060 (R-660 M-750 W-650)
Solid leadership ECs
Notable: I qualify for top 10 knights program and UCF is my safety so my stats are a little higher than average, it’s very possible to get in with stats lower than my own.
when did you apply? I also qualify for the top 10 knights, I’m just wandering how long it takes to get a response.
I applied Oct 1 and was accepted Oct 14. Not a top 10 knight.
@UCFanatic are you able to share your stats?
@Mamelot I have a 4.3 weighted GPA, 27 ACT, 1920 SAT and do dual enrollment.
Thanks for sharing, @UCFanatic.
D2’s stats are:
GPA 3.63 (uw), 3.65 (w), 3.7 (recalculated)
SAT 1960 (680 CR, 580 M, 700 W), 1260 CR+M
A couple of AP’s
No dual enrollment
non-resident
lots of EC’s in the performing arts
lots of volunteering and other service
Planning an animation major as UCF is highly ranked in that category. Her stats are within the 50% range although perhaps on the low side for GPA and the math SAT. She did complete the essay but did not submit a rec. letter or have the counselor form completed- it didn’t seem like it would be needed (although now in perusing the Common Data Set I noticed that they have checked the “Important” box for the rec letter. Oh well).
Hopefully she’ll get in. It would be a good state school option for her as University of MN doesn’t offer animation. And UCF is actually quite affordable!
Good luck to her. I’d say her SAT score and grades are solid and she has a seemingly well rounded application. Out of state would seem to be a plus too…they want that higher tuition.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, @UCFanatic. We’ll be sure to post what happens.
Applied October 1, still no decision. Is this a bad sign?
@Lurdes777 I have no idea but I just found the admission stats in detail (buried in the institutional research section of the UCF website) and found that they only admitted 27% of OOS applicants for this fall term! Yikes! Who knew this was like applying to a public Ivy? LOL. D2 has a specific reason for wanting to attend UCF and included that information in her essay but now I’m really wondering about her chances. Hoping the stats aren’t significantly higher for OOS applicants. Anybody have a guess?
No…you’re fine…a friend applied Sept 1 and just found out last week. Good luck!@Lurdes777
