<p>Alright, so here are my stats... Applied to Georgetown College Early Action!</p>

<p>SAT: 2000 (bad) 680CR/650M (1330/1600)
ACT (better): 31C. 35E, 29M, 30R, 31S, 32 E+W 9Essay
SAT II: Chem 770, USH 710, Math 2 690
GPA: 4.0/4.0 UW. Ranked 32 (or a little lower) in a class of 450 (very competitive)
APs: AP Chemistry 5, AP USH 5, AP Bio, AP Calc AB (My school doesn't have AP's running every period, and it is therefore almost impossible to schedule more than 2 or 3.
Other classes: Teaching an AP Chemistry lab course daily.
Major: Biochem (possibly dbl major)
Race: Hispanic (Puerto Rican/White)
Income: 60k</p>

<p>EC's:
Cross country, outdoor & indoor track, assistant coach of JV XC team this past season.</p>

<p>Managing charity project to raise $17500 for disadvantaged kids with superintendent.</p>

<p>National Honor Society (20+ tutoring hours, comm service), Mu Alpha Theta (20+ tutoring hours), Academic league (varsity co-captain) & TV "the challenge" team.</p>

<p>SafeSchool Ambassador (ntnl program)</p>

<p>Several hours as clean up/concession stand crew at sports events</p>

<p>17 months working as bus boy/waiter at restaurant (11hrs/wk)</p>

<p>Summer Activities: Tutor, XC, Charity (above)</p>

<p>Awesome recs from counselor, AP Chem, English 11 teachers. Solid essays.</p>

<p>Hooks: 1st gen student, charity proj, teaching course.</p>

<p>Interview: Couldn't have gone better. The lady loved me.</p>

<p>test scores are a bit low for georgetown, but you are a first generation hispanic applicant, which is a pretty good hook. decent ecs, and good gpa, id say you have a decent shot…</p>

<p>I agree with imnotafraid, I think the test scores are low, but your extracurriculars and ethnicity should really help. I don’t think you’ll definitely be deferred nor definitely accepted, so you’ll have a good shot. Good luck on Wednesday!</p>

<p>I think you fit in a little under the 50% SAT percentile in georgetown, and your ECs and hooks put you on track to compete with some of the more academically qualified applicants :slight_smile: good luck! chance me too if you can! im also applying georgetown~</p>

<p>the Hispanic hook will DEFINITELY help you. This girl in my school is Hispanic and is definitely in the 20’s or 30’s in the ranks at school but got into Dartmouth ED. You have a high chance :)</p>
