Essay: some of you have read my essay. if you would like to read my essay so you can get a better feel, ask! please though, don't ask if you're not ED yourself; i will investigate! lol

here's where i'm really worried: i won't send my score report for sat II until tomorrow :( also, where it asks on the application for my schedule, i stupidly just copied and pasted my first semester's schedule into the second. it's gonna make it look like im going to take economics (a semester course) for the entire year. is that a big deal?

can you let me know what you think?? and sorry if i was a little too elaborate on some parts :/

thanks!!

why don’t you just go to mychances dot net

I believe that whether you will be accepted or not depends a lot on the major that you have selected. Regarding the false information that you have given send an e-mail at ugrad-confirm@columbia.edu and ask them to correct it.

ED, you stand a little better… you have a nice hook with your ethnicity and double-language home. Your SAT and GPA are both on the lower end of Columbia, but the SAT II’s are OK. The EC’s are meaningful, but you don’t show much leadership, which could be an issue. Your transcript is strong, which is a plus, and the essays/recs do count a lot.

Unfortunately, your chances aren’t great (I’d say less than 25%) but you do have a fighting chance

Hope this helps!! Please chance me back!! (on the 2.0 thread)

yea, not much of a spark in the ECs category

for intended majors, i selected psychology, french and music. and i’ll be sure to send the email, kaoios001.

amr2014: thanks!! i’ll do my best to try and chance you; i’m not really experienced.

and yes, my EC’s are weak :frowning: but i hope my love for music is expressed well in my essay.

anyone else care to chance??

“Your EC’s really make you stand out. Wow you must be a success waiting to happen. Way to be a leader.” SARCASM FTW

ummmmm gwat?

kapoios001, I really doubt that prospective majors matter much. I don’t have hard data, but rest assured that MANY first- and second-year students change their majors, often more than once. The admissions committee knows this as well.

I mean whether you are applying to Fu Foundation or Columbia College.

bump…
