Hi,

I'm at McGill University in Canada and my first semester gave me a GPA of 3.75 unweighted and on my mid-term report I'll have 4.0 or 3.93 for this semester. I want to apply for sophomore standing for chemical engineering at Cornell. I have an extremely strong recommendation letter and a well-written and creative essay completed. Extracurriculars include heavy involvement on the McGill Karate Team, part of the competitive Engineering F1 Team (that builds hybrid snowmobile and F1 car), and in high school I was a captain of a sports team and won trophies for different things in golf as well. I also was selected to participate in a german exchange program and I achieved 7th and 5th place on the German Consulate Exam in grade 11 and grade 12 respectively which earned me the German Consulate Award. For SATs, I got 640 in Critical Reading, 770 in Math, and 730 in Writing. I got 730 in MATH Level II and 800 in Chemistry. All this considered, what do you think my chances would be at Cornell? Anyone who might have any knowledge about this, chance me please! Thanks!
