???
I would have but can’t afford it. Just can’t justify the debt. Lucky for me I have great options, but Lehigh was my dream school. First big disappointment of my life.
@hockey19 Don’t they meet full need? So if you’re low income shouldnt they be paying most of the COA for you?
I didn’t say I’m low income. Low income people get actual aid, high income people can afford the 63K, The middle people are offered loans only. Parents are expected to use their home equity as an asset. Is it fair? Not really but its reality of the middle class. I’m going where I’m getting a generous merit scholarship so I don’t start out in a boatload of debt. We’ve been through 9/11 and Sandy here, and my family learned that your financial stability can change in a snap. Saving my debt for grad school. It’s all good.
Best of luck to you Hockey19. You sound like a very smart, mature young man.
It’s official my ds accepted his offer to go to Lehigh last night. We are so excited and proud of him. After looking at all of his offers he felt like Lehigh was the right size, closer to our home geographically, strong engineering program but not as cut throat as many of the other programs and as my son put it " It felt right". Thank you all for your suggestions and input. Good luck to all of you students still deciding on your schools.
Can anyone help? How do you commit I’ve been at this for hours I can’t find how to commit to lehigh
Did you go on the portal? Are there instructions there?
My son finds the portal very confusing too… Students at the school don’t like it either. Not very user friendly. Took my son 2 hours to find out if he was accepted too. Not sure if he hit an accepted button or not but we paid the deposit. So strange we did not get a confirmation from them either about them receiving our deposit. I am calling them today to make sure he is officially signed up. Call the bursars office poodleskates if you still are having trouble.
Easiest thing to do is call admissions office and have the guide you through.
