One can turn down an ED accepatance, in good consicience, on financial grounds. But it is hard to do psychologically. And one can even negotiate a little bit, but usually I would think it had to be a matter of Brown not having all the information.

I hope I don't get into loans.

I'm considering ED and i was just wondering if i can apply ED to Brown and EA to Boston College at the same time...just in case i get rejected or referred at Brown...would that be possible¿¿

im going to do ED ... just dont think im going to get in haha

Kemo - no, Early Decision at Brown means you apply to Brown alone in the early round.

I'm applying ED too!

I thought about ED at Brown (esp. back when I visited), but I'm not confident enough about my desire to attend there yet. It may solidify a bit, and turn out that way, maybe not. I'll probably end doing EA somewhere instead, I wouldn't want to deal with the sort of buyer's remorse ED might bring. Or maybe I would...

I think a lot of my friends might apply ED to Brown, it seems really amazingly popular among my class at school. Go figure.

I've thought about it and talked to my parents...and after much deliberation...I will be applying ED to Brown this fall. I thought I would apply EA to Yale, but Brown just won my heart.

yay Brown! heh =P
