Apparently I am the only one at my school that does this. I want to be a Finance major so I need some math but HL Math have so many topics that are so unnecessary that I opted out. Anyone did or doing this ?
My D has to take both.
I believe IB programs require a student to take Calc BC + HL Math in order to take Math HL test while those taking ony BC get to take SL math test.
Not sure what one can do by taking only HL math if they have not completed or taking Calc BC at the same time.
@texaspg at my school, juniors will take calc AB and then doing HL math. Those that opt for SL math will do SL math in their junior year and Calc AB in their senior year.
That is surprising since SL math is supposed to cover topics in Calc BC.
