Anyone deciding between here and Berkeley?

Hey, I'm a Californian. And I felt like Berkeley fit me a lot better personality wise (it clicked), but I don't want to go to a public school. I loved the personality and the aliveness of Berkeley more. And, after I went to Northwestern I was having doubts about going there, but it's an amazing private school (good advising) and I'm undecided as a major so I don't know which school to choose. Anyone would any good advice?

P.S. Money is not a factor.

I also ended up deciding between Berkeley and NU. The main reason I didn't want to go to Berkeley was because EVERYONE is going there, and it is a public school (= huge student population), even though Berkeley is way cheaper for me. But I like NU's atmosphere/feeling of the campus more, so that's where I'm headed for the fall.

i met several people who were deciding between berkeley and NU at Preview NU .. i know for sure one girl is going to berkeley, partially because of money and partially because she likes bigger schools.. and her boyfriend goes there..

isn't berkeley ridiculously difficult as far as grades and competition are concerned?

to answer your question mw05: no.

one thing I'd like to addL In response to the original thread title, my response is "Yes, i was deciding between NU and berkeley... all the reasonable people decided months ago that berkeley was not even worth applying to for anybody who could be accepted at NU or similar schools."
