Does anyone do better on a retake after NO preparation whatsoever?

ok nm. but if its been like a year you would probably go up... just by goign through school. But, you might go down if you studied before the first one. But not after the 1st

I did 30 points better on the CR section of my retake without studying. I think it was luck, though.

The reason I retook it was for my math, which I did study and improved 20 points on.

My writing (no prep) went way down, though, so my overall score was lower.

Writing stayed the same, CR went down 20 points & Math went down 10 points. :P

So... no.

Good luck though. (;

You can't really say but odds are you will improve.
For me, I took SAT prep January thru June last yr at school.
I took the SAT in April and did OK. Later I took it in May and did worse and the same in math...my total score went down 70pts.
The longer I was in SAT prep the worse I did...or maybe the test was harder...I have no clue which but don't stress too much about it. I think SAT prep sucked tho...if you study yourself though it would probably help. I'm taking it again in December.

we will see. i didnt study the first time and refuse to this time. i only want my math to go up since i got an 800 on mathiic subj and a 700 on the normal...i know i can do it. the other two idc about. plus, if i know math, i know it so why study. GOOD LUCK

i went up :]

My DS gained the following from April to June--no prep, just more focus, better attitude

M increased 90 points
V increased 150 points
W increased 90 points

i'll find out in october. :)

i have taken a math class though, which is the only prep i've done.
