Anyone doing EA?

same jedi knight... BME!

isn't Case excellently funded for bme research? I think it's ranked 4th on USNEWS.

my cousin goes there for BME. unfortunately, she doesn't like case :( , but i think it may have something to do with her overloading her course work. she's taking ~20 credit hrs a semester! anyway, it is a really well known and good program from what i've heard.

Anyone heard back yet? I called them, and apparently, they are gonna be late in sending the notices out...probably by the 15th, they said :P

I got an email confirming everything was finally in, and that the decisions would be coming out on the 15th.

i got an email today saying that they had received all of my stuff (finally!) and the status of my application is now "under review"! yah!! :) they said i would hear something by jan 15. good luck everyone!!

Yup yup, so what other colleges are you all applying to?...or Case your one and only true love? lol

well, case is my only true love :) , but i also applied to 4 other schools. ohio state (my 2nd choice), miami university-ohio (oxford is too small for me, i like big cities), university of akron (MAJOR safety, didn't really care for it that much), and notre dame (my dad made me, he thought it would be a great opportunity, blah, blah, blah). the only one i really want to go to is case. what about you?

Case is my #1, but I am a bit more paranoid...So I did a lot of school...most of them reaches but hey, as they say..reach for the stars...so I did:
EA: Case, WPI [safety, and accepted], UConn[safety, and accepted]
RD: Northwestern, Duke, UC-SD, UC-Berk, BU

So hopefully, I get in Case as well, although not so much a safety...but more like a match/slight reach :-\ We'll see how it goes though, come January 15. Can't wait to also go to cleveland and see the campus...only seen it on the site, on tv, and in their little hotel presentation thing :D

Good luck! I'm sure you'll get accepted. By the way, the campus is gorgeous and suprisingly safe for being in the middle of a big city. You'll love it!

Only was there for an afternoon, but I found the campus much nicer than I expected. There is an air of greatness about it; something like a small Cornell in the middle of a city. There are quite a few brand new buildings (where are they getting all the money?). It is located adjacent to a park-like area with Severance Hall (Cleveland Symphony), botanical gardens, museums, Cleveland Institute of Music, etc. It is a bit like the Fenway loop area of Boston.

CWRU is in the process of building new student apartments (for 700 students) in the north campus which are to open in Fall 2005. Another surprise, it is a long, long, long walk from one end of campus to the other.

It's an easy to walk to Little Italy (good thing because there is essentially nowhere to park) and to places like Quizno's. It seems the area is improving for student life over what was written about the place 10 years ago.

The "Right Guide" to colleges (not the exact title) says the campus is not safe and you should not walk alone at night. I did get hassled by a guy asking for $3 for gas as I walked around. But I've heard from students that it is safe, so something to consider.

The school seems to be going out of its way to make you feel wanted - form letters from alums, regular mailings, a call from a current student, etc.

Cool, thank you for that insightful analysis of Case, T990. And finally, I won't have to drive 40 miles for a Quizno's lol.

T-2 Days...haha

They mail the decisions out on the 15th correct? So that means we'll get them between monday and wednesday? or do they come in the mail on the 15th... haha

in any case.. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

good luck! good luck! good luck!

kitman15, i'm kind of wondering about that too, but since it is already thursday i have a feeling that they will send out the letters on saturday (the 15th).

by the way, when you get your letter (this applies to all of you guys) please post so i can have an idea when my letter is coming. luckily, i'm in-state so i should receive it pretty soon! Tambien, Bueno Suerte!!!
