okay, there is a difference between videos and real life. when making a video to appeal to a large number of people, it should attempt to be racially diverse. And you keep mentioning the cities that are mostly black, but what about the areas that are mostly white (which occur at a much higher frequency). no one ever complains about their lack of diversity either...</p>

<p>I remember a few years ago one of my fellow classmates asked the teacher why blacks commit so much crime. My teacher said, "Oh! It's just propaganda!</p>

<p>these places are not mostly small towns, they are mostly rich areas. wealth being a huge factor in the level of racial diversity. the reason so many blacks live in Detroit is because a lot of blacks are poor. the reason hardly any blacks live in the above places, is because not that many blacks are wealthy enough...</p>
<p>in addition, the reason no one complains about the lack of diversity in Detroit, is because hardly any white people are comfortable living in majority black areas (i.e. white flight) and that is vice versa as well, but blacks will tolerate living in white areas at a much higher rate.</p>

if people tell you that, then they are lying. it is a known fact that the black race has more issues with low test scores, teen pregnancy, etc. but all of this is due to the fact that the numerous african americans are in poverty...</p>

wow, you sound like such an ignorant child. poverty puts african americans, and all people, into a cycle, in which it is hard to escape. for example, your mom had you when she was 15 years old, and you've been on and off of welfare for your entire life. you live in the ghetto, and your school is basically tantamount to a sh-tty babysitter. the main way of making money is selling drugs or doing some other kind of hustle. and because your mom works all the time (at a minimum wage job) she is not their to guide you. your father has never been in your life, so you pretty much raise yourself. you search for a sense of belonging or a love anywhere you can find it. this leads to having premature sex and you also getting pregnant at 15. or this leads to you being in a gang (because they treat you like family) and selling drugs and doing other illegal activities. this whole time, you are failing out of school (if you haven't already dropped out) because no one really cares about school. when you are poor, your main concern is making money, as fast as possible. going to school is not the fastest way to make money in the ghetto, indulging in illegal activities is...</p>
<p>so here you are, a girl pregnant at 15, starting in the same position your mother was in when she had you. thus starting the cycle all over again...</p>
<p>Jonathan, to you, this story may sound far-fetched as it is obvious that you have no idea about true hardship (i remember your thread about your dad's porn fetish and his young girlfriend or whatever- big deal, at least you have food on the table). but this is a common reality for at least a quarter of the black population.</p>

EXACTLY!!!! If all they have been taught is that they will live in the ghetto their entire lives, how/where do they find the resources to get out. if everyone around them is doing drugs and having sex, how do these young kids (more easily swayed by peer pressure at this age than any other) find the courage to stand out of the crowd. how do they find the strength to survive being bullied and shunned by their entire community. it takes an extremely strong-willed (probably more strong-willed than most) to escape this. and the sad truth is, the majority of black kids are not ready or willing to accept this challenge. but why should they be, in their world, their lifestyles are perfectly acceptable.</p>

<p>And that's what upsets me. Why don't their parents say, "Hey, don't make the mistakes I did."</p>
<p>To me, that helps. I actually listen to my parents. (sometimes). They say don't do this don't do that because they know what the negative outcome will be.</p>
<p>I live in a not so good area of detroit I'm sorrounded by drugs and bad influences and I want to acheive and go to Exeter where most of the kids here see a dead end and turn to drugs, not me not all blacks that live in the state poverty don't turn the wrong way. So thats stupid to say.</p>
